Abnormal menses can occur at any age. There are many reasons why it has happened. We believe a full evaluation regarding the cause is important. This may include a hormonal evaluation since hormonal changes can occur at any age as well as lab work and a physical exam.

Depending on your age, hormonal therapy may be advised such as birth control pills, progestin iud and more. However, nonhormonal therapies are available as well such as endometrial ablation and can be performed in the office if insurance approved.
